Physiatry Day 2017

July 7, 2017 | Submitted by pmrismorethan

On Friday, October 13, we are taking 24 hours to celebrate the many aspects of physiatry that make it unique and impactful. We want YOU to be a part of the celebration, both leading up to and on the big day!

Take Action Now for Physiatry Day 2017

1. Mark ‘Physiatry Day 2017’ on your calendar for Friday, October 13
Get your practice in on the celebration – tell everyone to save the date! You can be involved in the efforts currently being planned and/or do something unique for your team. Just make sure everyone is aware and ready to participate.

Part of a Large Institution? Tell your PR/Communications Team! Get them involved in the celebration by highlighting the work of physiatrists within your institution/system. Have them notify us of their planned efforts by emailing info@pmrismorethan.org. We’ll help spread the word too!

2. Post Content via Social Media
Each hour of the day, we want to focus on a different aspect of the specialty. From the diverse clinical expertise (i.e., TBI, sports medicine, pediatric rehabilitation, spine medicine, etc.) to the way physiatry is practiced in different settings, we want to celebrate it all. Help us do this through social media! Share a patient story, why you chose physiatry, or why you think your specialty is so impactful to medicine. Make sure your social media posts use the hashtag #PhysiatryDay2017, and we will retweet, share, and like your posts to the broader physiatric community!
